Nonni Strategic Marketing

Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Media Relations and Digital Communication for International Wine, Food and Hospitality

Assistant Account Executive / Account Executive

Wine, Food & Travel Marketing Communications

Remote or Hybrid

Do you know the difference between pét-nat and Prosecco? Do you peruse Instagram and TikTok for trending dishes? Text the group chat about restaurant openings, wine discoveries, and cooking shows? Get excited by media wins and a perfectly-timed pitch email?

Nonni Strategic Marketing is a boutique marketing and PR agency serving imported wine and specialty food brands and regions, with a side of place-branding and personal PR to celebrate the terroirs and thinkers behind our clients’ premium products. We’re looking for an Assistant Account Executive or Account Executive (depending on experience) who is organized, curious, culturally plugged-in, and ready to grow.

You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, encouraged to think creatively, and given the flexibility to manage your time in the way that works best for you.

The Role

  • Support media relations for wine, food, and hospitality clients

  • Draft pitches, press releases, media alerts, and creative story angles

  • Build and maintain media lists

  • Track coverage and lead client reporting

  • Help coordinate tastings, events, conferences, industry trips, and press meetings

  • Monitor trends across food, beverage, travel, and culture

  • Contribute to social media content brainstorms with creative and timely ideas

You Might Be a Fit If You…

  • Are a great writer who understands tone and storytelling

  • Have a demonstrated record of earned media placements for wine and/or food stories

  • Love food, wine, restaurants, travel, and hospitality culture

  • Are detail-oriented

  • Have a perspective on the responsible use of AI tools

  • Can manage multiple projects without heavy supervision

  • Understand that PR is part planning, part timing, and 100% relationships

  • Have 1-5 years of experience in PR, hospitality, media, events, marketing, or a related field

  • Can speak and write in Spanish, Italian, French and/or German (an advantage)

What Makes This Role Different

  • Flexible schedule and location, but availability during Eastern (USA) time work hours is essential, and proximity to a major market for wine and food is preferred

  • PT/FT and freelance/staff options

  • A team that genuinely likes one another

  • Meaningful work with exciting wine, food and related brands

  • Space to grow quickly if you’re ambitious

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive salary

  • Paid time off (for staff position)

  • Flexible work environment

  • Health club/co-working space access (depending on location)

  • Professional growth: ongoing formal PR training with enrollment in a recognized industry course

  • Occasional team gatherings (roughly quarterly), usually with wine and food tastings

  • Please note there is no relocation or work visa sponsorship

If you’re the kind of person who reads restaurant openings for fun, knows which editor just changed publications, and can keep calm during a trade tasting running 20 minutes behind schedule, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send your resume and a brief note to hello(at)nonnimarketing(dot)com telling us what restaurant dish, wine style, or lifestyle influencer is currently inspiring your next splurge.
